A few years ago I got a Camp Chef Mesa Aluminum Camp Table to take boondocking. It is big but can go as high as 39 inches (standing work height). When I saw this Sportneer camping table, it checked all the boxes for a smaller version of the Camp Chef table for when I only needed sitting height. I am impressed with both tables.
Both tables have aluminum slat tops that accordian together (not roll up) for storage. Very sturdy and they handle having hot items on them. They can also get very hot by themselves when exposed to summer sunshine. I should have thought of that before I ordered the Sportneer in dark black! Consider getting the white/aluminum colored one instead of black if camping out West.
Packed size is as advertised. The top shipped with some foam pieces to protect 4 plastic clips: I plan to keep using those.
The zippered storage bag is two zippered compartments side-by-side. Top goes in one, framework with legs in other. Much better arrangement than the single compartment Camp Chef Mesa's single compartment that results in the top and framework scratching against each other.
Setting up and putting away is super easy! Unfold the framework, unsnap and rotate the cross-support arms into place, snap them in, then snap the top onto the framework in 4 places. The Camp Chef Mesa does the setup one better by unfolding the cross-supports already fully connected, but both only have top and framework to keep track of. One question I have is how cold can it be and those snap pieces not break when assembling? I'll update the review if I find out.
The Sportneer table can be adjusted to any height between 17.75" and 26". A household dining table is about 29" tall, but my camp chairs sit quite a bit lower than my dining room chairs. The Sportneer beats out the Camp Chef Mesa legs because the Sportneer legs can be locked into any position, not just 4 fixed spots. This makes it possible to get the Sportneer level without digging holes or balancing a leg on something.
Max supported weight stated in manual: 70 lbs (Camp Chef Mesa is 100 lbs). As stable as any camp table I've used. I can grab one leg of the Sportneer and carry it around without the table coming apart.
While I prefer a table that goes up to standing counter height for meal preps while camping, that makes for a table that is harder to travel with because of the length of the storage bag and weight. This Sportneer table is spacious as a sitting table for 2 people, has a much shorter storage bag, and weighs less than half as much as the Camp Chef Mesa. Of course, now that I have both, I want both at the campsite.
The basket tucks underneath the top without getting in the way of my legs. The Camp Chef Mesa has no storage feature.

Close to perfect
Sometimes I am baffled by the small things that companies end up doing to an otherwise perfect product.This table is almost perfect, but for some strange reason they put an ungodly powerful ratchet in the legs that is really hard to overcome. You feel like you are going to break something trying to get them to slide back in.We love everything else about it. The bag has two compartment to keep the base from clanging against the top.The top folds on hinges unlike bungies of other tables. We love the hinge design. It makes it easier to fold back up.The top snaps securely and rigidly in place.The mechanism for the base is a wonder. One smooth motion opens the whole thing up. I went around showing everyone. It's cool. You do need to make sure when you fold it up that the right pair of legs tucks in first or it won't collapse flat.There are actual provisions for the under table net. Other tables have velcro nets they include as an afterthought. This one was actually designed with a purpose.Then comes the legs. They have cams to secure the table at whatever height you select, which are enough on their own. But for some reason there is a rack and ratchet. It adds a lot of strength to resisting the legs telescoping inward unintendedly, but it makes it insanely hard to push them in on purpose. We could see the cam looks like it should lift a tab that engages with the rack, but even forcefully opening the cam as much as we could it never would fully disengage. It really seems to be a design flaw. Each leg was the same. It seems like a nice idea in resisting sliding, it just needs to fully disengage when you want to take it down.We ended up needing to use our hand like a hammer to get the legs back in. It took an uncomfortable amount of force. Maybe we got a dud and we can get another to try?Without that problem this is a 5 star table (if the low height at max extension works for you). With the issue we have we still give it 4 stars.

Aufgebaut ist dieser Tisch mit zwei, drei mal üben in 5 Minuten. Hierbei ist dann aber die Zeit mit auspacken und anschließend Höhe einstellen schon mit eingerechnet. Durch einen speziellen Klappmechanismus braucht man das Untergestell quasi nur auseinanderziehen und fixieren. Die Tischplatte, die zusammen gefaltet ist, entfalten, auf das Gestell auflegen und damit verbinden, damit die Tischplatte sich nicht selbständig macht. Ein ausgeklügeltes System von Halterungen.
Wenn man alles zusammen hat, kann dann noch die Höhe des Tisches eingestellt werden.
Der Tisch bietet einen schnellen zusätzlichen Platz. Er sieht durch seine Lattenauflage toll aus und hat als Clou unter der Tischplatte noch ein Netz, in dem man auch noch etwas deponieren kann. Sehr praktisch für Servierten oder eine Küchenrolle, damit diese auf dem Tisch keinen Platz wegnimmt.
Der Tisch ist wirklich stabil und trägt laut Hersteller bis zu 35 kg. Er sieht so gut aus, dass wir ihn sogar schon einmal beim Brunch im Wohnzimmer als Beistelltisch genutzt haben.
Man kann ihn platzsparend verstauen und er wiegt nicht einmal 4 kg. Einfach nur toll und zu empfehlen.
